The National Flood Insurance Program Director David Miller and his 2nd in command Ed Connor were fired yesterday. This is a direct result of SFN members continually clamoring for reform, directly to FEMA and our Federally elected officials.
A Major overhaul of the NFIP flood insurance payment process is currently underway.

Not only are we striving to have SANDY claims settled fairly, but to pay for our “damages”, such as Attorney Fees, Adjustor Fees and rent for the last 2.5 years.
There is a long way to go. The NFIP and the insurance companies that have stonewalled us for the last 2.5 years are the same groups that will oversee our payments.
As Senator Menendez stated: “The Devil is in the details”
When will we receive our full payments? Will “damages” be paid? What process will be used to handle the review of our cases?
In light of recent events we have reason to be “cautiously optimistic” with Craig Fugate and Mr. Kiserman’s recent actions. But it’s all about the follow through.
