The House passed legislation to keep the government open via a continuing resolution, which includes an extension of the NFIP until February 16.

However, it is unclear at this point if the votes for the CR will be there in the Senate to avert a shutdown.

If the Senate is not able to pass a CR by midnight tomorrow night, the government will shutdown, which will also result in a lapse in authorization of the NFIP.

There is also the potential for a very short-term CR (4-5 days) to avert a shutdown.   We will keep you up to date with any developments.
