Rep. Patrick Murphy and Rep. Carlos Curbelo introduced a bill June 25 that would amend last year’s Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordable Act to cover businesses, rental properties and part-time residences.

Should the Flood Insurance Fairness Act of 2015 pass, those properties would have the same flood-insurance rates as those paid on primary residences.
